At Loose Mansion, we love surprises!  Surprises create lasting impressions and memories for your guests.  Make your event more memorable with just one or two surprises … or make it your theme and surprise them throughout the event!

Surprises don’t have to be expensive like a Mariachi Band showing up for the Grand Entrance or a Bubble Machine for the send-off, and often those that don’t cost anything are the best.  For example, you can surprise guests with things as simple as a fun game, a group of friends singing an old school song, or a funny poem with a toast!  Here are a few more ideas to inspire your thinking:

Choreograph a dance, either with your other half, a parent, siblings, sorority sisters, or with your bridal party! This will be entertaining for all of your guests, but also fun for you while learning and practicing the dance!

Provide a candy or dessert buffet to serve as both a dessert alternative and a favor for your guests to take with them … and bring it out later as a surprise!

How about providing a little less food at the beginning of your event and save part of your budget for a late night food surprise?  We have an entire menu page for “Late Night Mini’s” … but, some of our favorites have surfaced because of family traditions and an effort to bring back great memories to friends and family!  If you choose your favorite snack foods as a couple, it will not only surprise your guests, but help personalize your event!

Have a special performance by a family member or friend during your event!  What talent do you have among your friends and family?  Do you have an opera singer (or any singers) to sing a toast?  Don’t forget about the children!  Children have provided some of the best surprises and funny toasts at Loose Mansion!

Surprise your guests with action stations!  Let them interact with the chefs at your reception and pick food items they will enjoy most!

Surprises are great, but please clue in your event planners or venue staff.  Sometimes, there are building problems, such as lack of an electric outlet where needed, that can be easily addressed with advance notice.
